These clergy stoles, called “Holy Name”, reflects the international nature and appeal of Pugin’s work: the orphrey and embroidery are of English origin, whereas the fabric pattern is based on that of a chasuble currently in Australia
These Gothic clergy stoles are made in the Alton fabric, based on a vestment by Pugin for St Augustine's Abbey, Ramsgate, and complimented by a re-weaving of an original Pugin orphrey braid.
