Coronation Damask
An early Watts & Co. design, 'Coronation' came from one of our early Royal commissions: the copes for the coronation of Edward VII in 1902. Originally, it was made as an embroidered velvet, then called 'Rose & Crown'. Similar textile designs from the 16th century can be seen in The Met and the V&A Museum collections. The 'Rose & Crown' was adapted into our current 'Coronation' fabric, woven today and in silk and lumiyarn - and available in Red or Blue.
