Our Sainte-Chapelle cope reprises the Gothic ‘Rayonnant’ designs of the Sainte-Chapelle in Paris, perfectly complementing our Sainte-Chapelle range of vestments.

Framing the exclusive fleur de lys and tracery design of the main fabric the motifs on the orphreys and morse are embellished with hand-couched japanese gold thread.
The stunning cope hood is worked on a warm gold background and combines intricate appliquéd silks, stars embellished with tiny spangles to catch the light, dense metallic scarlet check thread, and cobalt blue stitched infills, with an accent emerald green ground, all meticulously outlined in gold pearl purl.

The design is a stunning representation in stitch of a Gothic rose window, with clearly defined symmetrical lobed petals radiating from a central rosette. Strong relief and luminous contrasts make for a brilliant jewel-like effect.

Handcrafted in the 'Sainte-Chapelle' damask in Cream, with our exclusive Sainte-Chapelle orphrey elevated with hand-embroidered details. The cope is lined with our Blue & Gold starry lining, and has a back length of 60”. The hood is finished with a gold hand-knotted fringe and Watts’ Diamond & Lay gold braid. it is a truly unique and special piece.
