Cathedral Cope in 'Windsor' Cloth of Gold and Embroidery

St. George’s Chapel, Windsor cloth of gold chapter copes

A truly remarkable commission: using a cloth of gold, commemorating Her Majesty the Queen’s diamond jubilee in 2013, as well as hand embroidered gold work, inspired by the ceiling of St. George’s Chapel and incorporating the arms of the Order of the Garter: Britain’s most prestigious order of chivalry, whose spiritual home is at the Chapel.

This set of five copes were made in our “Cathedral” style: the hood being attached to the top of the orphrey.
