This 15th-century design was used by Temple Moore, an architect trained by George Gilbert Scott Jr., in many of his designs. However, 'Gainford' was also redrawn by Sir Ninian Comper, most notably for the Viceregal Throne in the royal palace in New Delhi, India. 

The large-scale pattern on this silk and cotton blend fabric makes it eminently suitable for hangings and continental-shape vestments. 'Gainford' is available in all four liturgical colours.
