Pentecost Brocade
Watts' 'Pentecost' fabric was designed by David Gazeley, who took inspiration from G. F. Bodley's embroidery design for a set of vestments at St Paul's Knightsbridge, London. Reference can also be made to the medieval robes of the French Order of Knights of the Holy Spirit. The repeating motif which makes up the pattern has been appropriately named as it draws from the account of the descent of the Holy Spirit in the forms of tongues of fire at Pentecost.
This simple, yet effective pattern is suitable for all vestments, and is often used for orphreys.
Price is per metre.
