The Davenport fabric, exclusive to Watts & Co, was re-woven to celebrate the centenary of G.F. Bodley, its designer, in 2007. The patterns' origins can be found in Venice from the time of the Doge and most famously can be seen as the hanging in Hans Holbein the Younger's 'The Ambassadors
It is combined here with Watts exclusive Gothic Trellis braid to produce a beautifully authentic Gothic Revival-style vestment. The cut of the Davenport vestments is ample.
Named after two of Watts & Co.'s directors, Davenport is a cotton damask fabric.
