This banner was based on an antique piece. It is made 24” wide x 36” high, in our Sarum Red/Gold ‘Gothic’ silk damask, trimmed with Old Gold 3” Rayon fringe, and lined in Sarum Red cotton sateen.
The banner features a hand-embroidered figure of the Blessed Virgin Mary, approximately 12” wide x 30” high, worked in appliqué in our Blue 'Bellini' and White/Gold/Blue 'Comper Strawberry' silks. Hand appliquéd lettering of ‘St. Mary’s Willesden’ is worked above and below the figure, as per the original banner.
