Quatrefoil - Azure & Caramel

The term quatrefoil as a motif dates back to at least the 15th century and has been popular in architecture, art and textiles ever since. Meaning ‘four leaves’ it has been interpreted as a stylised symbol of the cross, a four-leafed clover, or as representing the four Gospels.

In this fabric the silk weave of the quatrefoils lends a subtle lustre.
